Join a collective browsing community
FoxiFly is a strange mixture between a social networking site and a Firefox extension. In fact, FoxiFly is a social community that enables you to share anything you find on Internet with your friends.
How? Right: through the FoxiFly toolbar.
With this extension you'll be able to chat with your friends while browsing the web and even browse the same web pages to share your impressions about it.
The toolbar keeps track of the websites visited by FoxiFly members and uses this information to generate popularity rankings, so you'll be able to see what's hot on Youtube, Digg or Flickr with a single mouse click.
But Foxifly is not only about collective browsing and public bookmark lists. It also includes some useful tools like an email checker or tab sets, which enable you to launch several tabs simultaneously.
While this toolbar may seem an interesting idea, I still feel somewhat reluctant to let anybody track my browsing habits. You can always turn that tracking off but what's the point of belonging to FoxiFly then?
